WEBApr 26, 2020 · These engines LOVE to have a properly set up vacuum advance in place and functional for street use, but, dyno tells us to jack the timing up to the moon, no vac adv. Also, setting the timing by total mechanical degrees is dead wrong, as is using a dial back timing light to do so.

"Vacuum advance was originally designed to increase fuel economy, but in exchange it advances the timing on the engine. When we designed the engines, we were more concerned with the performance as opposed to the fuel mileage so we set our timing requirements without it.

There's been a lot of negative stuff written about BP and if they aren't a reputable company than this post was to prove such. I gave an unbiased opinion of my experience with them.
