I will preface this rant with the fact that this experience has caused me to swear that I will never shop at Pottery Barn/West Elm ever again. Their customer service is TERRIBLE. I cannot overstate that enough.

WEBFeb 2, 2017 · I guess it all depends on your budget - there is a huge range. We have cheap chairs we bought at Costco when we first moved in. I found some side tables at a second hand store and that meets our needs. There is a speciality store near me that sells high end outdoor furniture. Sometimes I buy replacement cushions there.

WEBAug 17, 2023 · I buy desks from Costco or Wayfair, etc, but what makes the world of difference is that I add custom glass tops to them. SO much easier to clean and keeps desks looking new forever. I measure, call our local glass company and put in and order and pick it up. Prices have been reasonable too.

It is a corner room, so I have two good windows with lots of natural light. But I also use it as my storage room/closet, so all my other crap is in here. Some days it looks like a decent home office.

I had purchased the wall paint for this room, but not trim or ceiling paint. The guest room is small, maybe 10x10? He also painted my bedroom, which is pretty large.

I bought my Sayl chair from FB marketplace for about that. There’s always offices that close, downsize, renovate or buy new chairs and sell their barely used chairs.
