WEBHere is what was wrong and how I fixed it. Just after I got the watch I got a new phone. The watch had been paired with the only phone. When I copied all my apps to the new phone this made the watch unhappy for some reason, even after pairing with the new phone. The solution was to delete the garmin connect mobile app from my phone and reinstall.
