WEBMy conclusion is that Vega 64 has a peak power consumption (+/- 295w) which's too much to handle for my Mac Pro 5,1 (+/- 225w). Then I found out several reference 64 (Original with max. 220+75=295w, see via link below) & 56's BIOS are intercompatible.

WEBFeb 10, 2018 · Probably a better value is the Vega 64 if you can find it anywhere, but many models have already been discontinued for some reason despite the fact that people love it. In any event, the CUDA rendering in Premiere/AE/AME is VERY fast with the GTX 980 Ti and 1080 Ti but I found the constant messing with drivers to be too much of a pain.
