I read with the new A8 processor that it runs roughly ten times faster. It is almost as fast as my iPhone 6.

Movies are also huge, esp. if you get the hd versions (Around 1.5 gigs or more). Unless you play nothing but casual games and those music files are low quality, I would say no.
