Korcula is beautiful but our disappointment was this island. There is no beach here with sand or small stones so that kids and we could enjoy swimming in the sea. The water is crystal clear but that… Full review by Vladimir L

I am planning a trip to the islands in June, We have 12 days. I have booked a hotel for 1 night in split and another for 4 nights in Brac. I have been researching for weeks and now am finding it hard to decide where to go next!!!. We fly back from Dubrovnik early on the 13th day. I want to see the blue cave And not spend the majority of our time travelling....I need advise. I like the sound of Hvar and korcula and then back to Dubrovnik or Mljet or is this too much traveling and would you recommend just Brac and one other island. Where is the best place to stay to see lots of sights... I am thinking Hvar not because of the place but because of the islands to visit from there are the blue cave etc.....

I would definitely recommend Hvar and then maybe Vis island. To be able to quality experience Korcula and Mljet you will need more time and you don't have it as I can see at least not for this round. And on Hvar there is definitely a lot of places, beach and things to see including near by Pakleni islands. You know there is a saying that south side of Hvar is made for Gods :) And there is even more to see and experience on Vis island including near by Bisevo island with blue and green cave with a beautiful Vis wines. So my advice is to go with this three islands in this round and truly experience them. And then on other occasion explore the other lower portion of the dalmatia islands (korcula, mljet, lastovo). Hi Ü Me & my husband are travelling to Split the 17th of May and we are planning a daytrip out to Proizd; has anyone spent the night out there? I know that we need to bring everything that we want of water, food ect., but if the temperature is ok, it would be amazing to camp there for a night under the stars ;) I just need to know if it is allowed first :)

Hi Ingvild, We only did a day trip to the island and noticed there was one restaurant and possibly it has rooms for rent as well. It is right at the dock you get off at when taken to the island. There is also another restaurant where the beach is. Also there is an outdoor bar tucked away in the woods. As for camping, I'm unsure if it is allowed or if it exists on the island. Since Korcula island is nearby, please do check out the town of Korcula which is on the opposite island of the port town of Vela luka of Korcula island.
