There’s so much to do along this beach, and there’s a 22 mile bike trail that parallels most of it. Swimming, surfing, volleyball, food, nature or shops, you can find a little of everything from Wi… Full review by Jeremy F

We stayed in Hollywood so this was a trek but well worth it! We absolutely loved it! The pier was great and lots of great places to play, eat, drink and generally have fun! Well worth the effort …. Full review by Coastal00285138948
Would it be a good idea to visit Santa Monica Beach and Venice beach in one day? Is it easy to walk between them or would we benefit from renting bikes? Thanks for any advise.
A:
It definitely is a good plan. distances are short so either Uber or Bike is great. Santa monica Beach is near the Downtown Metro station so maybe you want to use that as starting point.
Is driving from Hollywood to Santa Monica Pier then to Malibu wine safari too much to do in one day? What's the best day to go to either place to avoid traffic? Going early March.

Hi We drove Route 66 last September and this was the end of the last stage for us. We did not go to Malibu though so I cannot help with that. Hollywood to Santa Monica pier is a 30ish minute drive depending on the time of day. As you are probably aware the traffic in LA is notorious.. The pier and beach at Santa Monica are great and there are some handy multistory car parks tucked away down the side streets that are a better price than those on the sea front. If you get time I would also go slightly down the coast to Muscle Beach and Venice boardwalk this is a real experience. Enjoy.
