Starting in Jan. 5, all cars entering Manhattan below 60 Street will have to pay $9, a $6 reduction from the previous toll pricing. But are other discounts still available?

Gov. Kathy Hochul plans to revive a controversial congestion pricing plan for drivers entering Manhattan at 60 th Street and below by knocking $6 off the $15 toll she rejected in June. The new $9 toll would need to be approved by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board at a meeting next week.

Hochul had put the plan on "pause" in June just before the originally proposed toll of $15 was set to take effect.
