A week after recording no receptions for the first time in 48 career games, Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts came up big for the Falcons on the opening drive. Pitts got behind the second level of the Buccaneers defense and hauled in a 32-yard reception to get the team past midfield.

Knight is right about Pitts being super unique and not an elite blocker. It’d make a lot of sense for Robinson, a young coach who is forming his own version of a McVay offense, to lean on wide receivers right now while trying to gel with Cousins and the team’s offensive personnel.

When asked about Pitts’ absence from the stat sheet after Sunday’s 26-24 win over the Saints, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris wasn’t concerned in the slightest. “Really, for me, man, stats are for losers,” said Morris. “I don’t get involved in that stuff. You go out there and try to win each game, and we were able to win it today.”

The Falcons offense was stuck in an extensive touchdown drought entering Thursday's game against the Buccaneers, having gone 16 consecutive drives without finding the end zone.
