As of Friday, the Middle Tennessee region remains under a flood watch. The remnants of Helene will bring along heavy rainfall and strong winds.

Along with the flood watch is a wind advisory for parts of West Tennessee. It is also in effect until 7 a.m. Saturday morning. Memphis lies just outside of the caution area, however, this could change as the day goes on. People can expect to see sustained winds of 25 miles an hour or more while the advisory is in effect.

As Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida late Thursday night and moved into Georgia just after 2 a.m. Friday, metro Atlanta and its surrounding communities experienced torrential rain, heavy flooding and widespread power outages.
