The Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday it will no longer import steel or artificial sweeteners from two companies based in China due to their alleged use of forced labor.

Oct. 3 (UPI) --Homeland Security on Wednesday blacklisted two Chinese companies over forced labor allegations among the minority Muslim Uyghurs population in the Xinjiang region, officials said.

Since June 2022, the entity list has grown to a total of 75 companies accused of using forced labor in Xinjiang or sourcing materials tied to that forced labor, Homeland Security said.
