An inspirational shout, for lack of a better term, has been ringing across the state of Florida for a change in the coaching realm, especially in Gainesville, where the Florida Gators have seen 5-7 and 5-7 seasons under head coach Billy Napier, with the "team down south" now sitting at 4-4.

Billy Napier will remain in place as head football coach at Florida, despite the Gators producing another lackluster campaign during his third season, athletic director Scott Stricklin announced Thursday.

Gators head football coach Billy Napier might not be rushed out of Gainesville this offseason after being given a vote of confidence, but he could have a limited future in Florida regardless. On SI’s Tanner Johnson believes Napier could be gone before the end of the 2025 season.
