Dino Fire initially started 5:11 p.m. Oct. 2 in Santa Clara County. After being active for three days, it has burned 20 acres. As of Saturday evening, a crew of seven firefighters effectively contained 90% of the fire. However, the cause is still under investigation.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY – A fire that has been burning in Pacheco Pass since Wednesday evening reached 80% containment Friday morning after charring 20 acres. The Dino Fire began near Dinosaur Point Road and Highway 152 around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to Cal Fire.

Fire crews responded to a 30-acre brush fire near the Pacheco Pass in Santa Clara County on Wednesday. The blaze, dubbed the Dino Fire, broke out in the area of East Highway 152 and Dinosaur Point Road.
