Thieves have blown open the door of an art gallery in the southern Netherlands and stolen two works from a famous series of screen prints by American pop artist Andy Warhol.

An art heist in the Netherlands was botched Friday when the thieves failed to secure all four prints in their getaway car.

Two of Pop Art pioneer Andy Warhol's four "Reigning Queens" were taken from an Amsterdam gallery in a heist described by the owner as "amateurish."
