The Microsoft Surface Duo 2 is nearing the end of its support lifecycle. Microsoft is releasing a final Android 12 update for the device, which marks the end of software updates for the dual-screen smartphone.

Microsoft said in October 2021 that it would keep the Duo 2 around for a minimum of three years—and now that it's fulfilled that promise, it's dipping out of the smartphone game once again.

With support for the Surface Duo 2 officially ending in a few weeks, Microsoft offers a tiny parting gift to any remaining owners.
