For the third season in a row, the Atlanta Braves postseason ended with a first-round exit. The San Diego Padres swept the Braves in two games of the National League Wild Card Series. Channel 2 sports director Zach Klein caught up with the Braves players after the loss.

The Diamondbacks needed some help from the Mets to make the 2024 MLB playoffs. They didn't get it, putting the Braves into the postseason instead.

The Braves' hunt for another World Series title is still on. The big picture: After blowing a 3-0 eighth inning lead in the first game of their doubleheader Monday against the New York Mets, the Braves won the second 3-0.

The playoffs line-up is taking shape with the Yankees, Orioles, Guardians, Tigers, Royals, Astros, Phillies, Brewers, Dodgers and Padres all through.

The Braves did not have that horrible of a season by any stretch of the imagination. The amount of injuries was not ideal, but the club still finished at 89-73 and claimed a spot in the Postseason, which seemed out of reach for the majority of the season.

The Atlanta Braves 2024 season is over. They lost 5-4 in Game 2 to the San Diego Padres to be swept out of the Wild Card series. They clinched a spot in the postseason on Monday and it was all over on Wednesday.
