The inaugural CIF Southern Section flag football playoffs will have five divisions with 32-team fields, except Division 1, which will have just 16 teams.

Fryer: Flag football continues to grow, with first CIF championships on the way
Flag football was played by 120 high school teams in the CIF Southern Section last school year. This year 270 CIF-SS member schools have flag football teams, enough for the section to have its first playoffs and championship games in the sport.
Inaugural girls flag football playoff pairings announced
The CIF-Southern Section announced the inaugural playoff pairings and many of our local teams will compete in the Division 1 bracket which begins on Saturday, October 26. In D1, San Marcos opens at Santa Margarita, Dos Pueblos hosts Aliso Niguel, Ventura is home to Agoura while Camarillo is on road against Newport Harbor.
