Archer-Daniels-Midland Co's chief compliance officer, Ben Bard, is leaving the company early next year for personal reasons, the company said on Wednesday.

Ben Bard, who joined ADM about a decade ago, departs at a time when a months-long scandal has wiped almost $12 billion off the value of the commodities trader.

ADM said its compliance head will leave the company for personal reasons, an executive change that comes as the agriculture company faces a raft of accounting issues that have led to the departure of its chief financial officer.
