It's not Déjà vu, we have had four landfalling hurricanes in less than four years in the Big Bend area of Florida.

One day out from Hurricane Helene's record-setting havoc around Florida's Big Bend, relief workers, politicians and clean-up crews made a push.

Helene made landfall in Florida's "sparsely-populated Big Bend area, home to fishing villages and vacation hideaways," The Associated Press said, but damage from the storm stretched along Florida's west coast and into neighboring states.

The National Hurricane Center in Miami said Helene roared ashore around 11:10 p.m. ET near the mouth of the Aucilla River in the Big Bend area of Florida’s Gulf Coast. It had maximum sustained winds estimated at 140 mph.
