An annular solar eclipse, known as the "ring of fire," will be visible on Wednesday, primarily over the Pacific, with Easter Island, parts of Argentina, and Chile in its path.

You may not know it, but we're on the cusp of another solar eclipse. Next Wednesday, October 2, an annular eclipse will take place. Of course, 71 percent of our planet's surface consists of oceans, and this eclipse will be one that barely touches land.
