Book Recommendations -- Upbeat and Happy Novels - DCUM …
Jan 7, 2013 · Lately I seem to be reading novels that are heavy, stressful and/or depressing. They're well-written, and sometimes there's a silver lining buried in there. But I need a break from all the heaviness. Any recommendations for a lighter, more upbeat novel with characters who aren't suffering in poverty or misery?

Sep 25, 2024 · The only good part about the program was that my child had reading minutes and variety of novels but the portion with the teacher was useless. They could have just done this at home. There are plenty of great basal readers out there that teach language arts better than independent reading time even if they read fewer novels per year.

Mar 31, 2024 · Artists make less $ but higher EQ and better in bed. More sensitive and emotional and less stable, but will listen to your emotions and make you feel like a woman. Scientists make more but lower EQ. Less sensitive but more stable. Emotions are a hindrance and women are confusing. I think there’s also a difference in what type of science.

I'm sure this thread will be peppered by the usual "I married him for love and now he earns 7 figures, I never had to work but could if I wanted" posters, but honestly. These are east coast poster in 2024.

I asked why they don't assign American classics so that students learn about the history and culture of the country they grow up in. Her reply was that she used to teach books like "Fahrenheit 451," but is no longer permitted to.

It’s not that women want men with money, they want men who are competent and capable of taking on the burden of providing money because children (birthing them and caring for them) are an enormous cost to women.
