WEBApr 11, 2013 · For both 36v motors, there's two versions: 350w and 500w. The 350w versions give full power at about 25 amps and perform happily at 22 amps, and the 500w ones give full power at 40 amps or more, and 30 amps is the normal current to run them at. For comparison, 250w Bafang SWX motors are usually run at about 14 amps.

WEBAs of now, the only retailer that I've seen carrying the Bafang CST is BMSbattery so I might just get the motor from them. I'll also check AliExpress like you suggested and see what they have. Thanks for the help!

WEBMay 1, 2020 · I've got 2 bikes with BaFang Ultra motors, and both motors have had issues early: Number one motor makes a creaking noise while pedaling. Not with throttle nor coasting. Creaking level seems to be inversely proportional to pedal effort.
Which motor/kit to get? Bafang CST or Xiongda? 36V or 48V?
WEBJun 11, 2015 · The 260rpm one will give about 20 mph at 36v and 30% more at 48v. Obviously, you get 30% more power at 48v. Looking at the cassette motors, the 500w Bafang is total overkill. There's no need to add that much weight to your bike.
