WEBJan 10, 2020 · There are no issues with the plastic gear in BBSHD motors. Period. It’s my worst selling replacement part. Metal gears were developed for the ultra version and those that wanted to crank up the power beyond Bafang specifications. Typically the BBSHD is sold to DIY builders with a very few eBike sellers using the BBSHD.

WEBOct 5, 2024 · The CYC photon seems to be very efficient compared to the BBSHD. I have done 18mph average rides (rolling hills (4-6%) in the front range of colorado between boulder and denver) with wh/mile of about 16wh/mile. The BBSHD usually takes 18wh/mile for the same conditions/speed.

WEBSep 18, 2021 · May 30, 2022. #17. I just used this light set (about $14 cad shipped) with the at 6v .5a lead from the bbs02b controller. Works really well and the lights can be turned on/off from my Bafang contoller! I'm happy with it for now, not as bright as the set posted above, but works well for illuminating the bike.
