In most Donkey Kong supplemental materials, Mario was described as a carpenter. I feel like he hadn't yet been codified into a real character until SMB1.

Jun 29, 2020 · The coin gimmick is worthless tough. The 3D also just made the game blurrier, which means NSMB2 has the worst implementation of 3D that i have seen on the system. It adds nothing. It is a unremarkable game as are all the other NSMB games compared to the classic SMB games. Too safe and boring.

Yoshi's Island already doubled funktionality between A and R on SNES, X was unused, so no troible here either. DKC3 used one button more than the GBA has on SNES; but there was one button that only did two things: jump off animal buddy and honk.
